Over the past year or so Wednesday has had a tendency to perform well for whatever reason. The table below shows all of the trading days going back to 1987 along with the number of up and down days and overall performance for each day of the week. A few things stand out. First Monday, Wednesday and Friday have had more positive return days than Tuesday and Thursday.
