Earnings Kick Off This Week

Friday closed the week the same way it opened, with an impulsive upside day on heavy volume. Leaving an accumulation day for the NYSE and Nasdaq. The week ahead kicks off earnings and at lofty levels for the market, S&P 500, Nas 100, Nas Composite, and the Dow at new highs for 2007with only the Russell 2000 still lagging back. With an improved economic outlook Fed Fund futures dropped to 50% chance of the Fed lowering rates at the meeting at the end of October.
